From the Principal!

Howdy Fabra Families!

As we wrap up another great week at Fabra, I want to take a moment to thank our amazing families for their continued support and involvement.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday for our Grade Level Orientations. We hope the evening provided you with a clearer picture of the year ahead and helped answer some of the questions you may have as we begin this new school year. We truly appreciate the partnership between our families and school staff!
A big thank you as well to all of the dads and father figures who joined us Tuesday morning for our All Pro Dad Kickoff Event. It was wonderful to see so many families start their day together, and we look forward to continuing these monthly gatherings beginning in September!
I also want to thank the families who responded so quickly to today’s message about Falcon Funds. In just a few hours, we received more than $600 in donations! We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and willingness to support our campus. If you have not yet had the opportunity to donate, please consider doing so. Falcon Funds is our one direct fundraiser for Fabra Elementary, and every dollar goes directly back to supporting our students, staff, and campus.
Finally, state accountability results and distinction designations were released in recent weeks, and we were proud to see Fabra earn an overall school rating of 88. What was even more exciting was earning four out of the six possible distinction designations. These distinctions are especially meaningful because they compare campuses with similar student demographics and recognize top-performing schools in specific areas. Fabra earned distinctions in Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts, Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in Science, and Postsecondary Readiness. These accomplishments are a reflection of the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the continued support of our Fabra families.
Please take a few minutes to read through the entire newsletter for more information about upcoming events, important reminders, and opportunities to be involved at Fabra. Have a wonderful weekend, Fabra Family!

Current Daily Attendance Rankings by Grade!

Throughout the year, we will closely monitor attendance and share updates with our families. Regular, on-time attendance is important for student success and helps ensure that students don’t miss valuable learning opportunities. At the same time, we know that keeping our school community healthy is a shared responsibility. We encourage families to keep students home when they are truly sick and to provide a doctor’s note when applicable. By working together to limit the spread of illness while prioritizing consistent attendance, we can help keep our students healthy, learning, and successful.

Our campus goal for Average Daily Attendance is 96.5%. This week's campus attendance rate was: 95.58%. Our current attendance rate for the year is 96.75%.

Our year-to-date attendance percentages by grade are:
5th - 97.45%
1st - 97.25%
4th - 96.74%
3rd - 96.69%

Help Us Reach Our Falcon Funds Goal!

Thank you to the families who have already supported Falcon Funds! We have received $2,500.00 toward our $15,000 goal, and we truly appreciate your generosity.
Falcon Funds allows us to provide meaningful experiences and incentives for our students, including field trips, academic supports, student and teacher incentives, character celebrations, STAAR snacks, and more. Most importantly, 100% of your donation goes directly to Fabra Elementary to support our students and staff.
If you haven’t had a chance to contribute, we would greatly appreciate your support. Donations can be sent to school in your child’s green folder, or you can donate online using the link provided below.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us reach our goal and provide even more opportunities for our Falcons. Thank you for continuing to support Fabra!

During the day, Falcon Fathers may read to a classroom, play at recess, help out in P.E, eat lunch with students and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well. On the day of their participation, Falcon Fathers are given a brief review of their involvement and get to wear an official Falcon Father t-shirt.
